1. Matter is defined as a substance or entity which has mass and occupy some space. So if a substance has no mass we cannot regard it as matter.

2. The palm feels cold when we add some acetone or petrol or perfume on it because as soon as we apply these substances they start evaporating.

All of these substances are highly volatile. Because of the latent heat of vaporization, these materials extract heat from our body and vaporize it which produces a cooling effect and the palm feels cold.
