 (f) Interstellar space has an extremely weak magnetic field of the order of 10 ^ {-12}. Can such a weak field be of any significant consequence? Explain.

This weak magnetic field can affect the motion of a charged particle in a circular motion. And a small deviation from its path in the vast interstellar space may have huge consequences.

When a charged particle moves in in magnetic field with get deflected along a circular path of radius

R=mv/eB

A weak field of 10^-12 Tbends the charged particle in a circle of very large radius.Over a small distance, we may not noticed the deflection but not very large interstellar distance, the deflection is quite noticeable
