best_answer

Given integral: \int_4^5 e^x dx

Consider the integral \int e^x dx

\int e^x dx = e^x

So, we have the function of xf(x) = e^x

Now, by Second fundamental theorem of calculus, we have

I = f(5) -f(4)

= e^5 -e^4

= e^4(e-1)
