$\triangle =\frac{1}{2} \begin{vmatrix} 1& 0 &1 \\ 6 & 0 &1 \\ 4& 3& 1 \end{vmatrix}$

Expanding using second column

$=\frac{1}{2} (-3) \begin{vmatrix} 1 &1 & \\ 6& 1 & \end{vmatrix}$

$= \frac{15}{2}\ square\ units.$
