2.(ii) Find p(0), p(1) and p(2) for each of the following polynomials:

    (ii)    p(t) = 2 + t + 2t^2 - t^3

Answers (1)

Given polynomial is

p(t) = 2 + t + 2t^2 - t^3

Now,

p(0) = 2 + 0 + 2(0)^2 - (0)^3 = 2

p(1) = 2 + 1 + 2(1)^2 - (1)^3 = 4

p(2) = 2 + 2 + 2(2)^2 - (2)^3 = 4

Therefore, values of p(0), p(1) and p(2) are 2 , 4 and 4 respectively
