2.  Find the measures of the angles made by the intersecting lines at the vertices of an equilateral triangle.

We know that the sides of the equilateral triangle are equal.

Consider an equilateral triangle ABC.

Then                   \angle A\ =\angle B\ =\ \angle C

So,                      \angle A\ +\angle B\ +\ \angle C\ =\ 180^{\circ}

or                                                   3\angle A\ =\ 180^{\circ}

or                                                     \angle A\ =\ 60^{\circ}

Hence angles of an equilateral triangle are 60^{\circ}.
