The diameter of the sphere = $3.5\ m$

We know,

The surface area of a sphere of radius $r$ = $4\pi r^2$

$\therefore$ Required surface area = $4\times\frac{22}{7} \times\left (\frac{3.5}{2} \right )^2$

$= 4\times\frac{22}{7} \times\frac{3.5}{2}\times\frac{3.5}{2}$

$\\ = 22\times0.5\times3.5 \\ = 38.5\ m^2$
