Given,

The diameter of the sphere = 3.5\ m

We know,

The surface area of a sphere of radius r = 4\pi r^2

\therefore Required surface area = 4\times\frac{22}{7} \times\left (\frac{3.5}{2} \right )^2

= 4\times\frac{22}{7} \times\frac{3.5}{2}\times\frac{3.5}{2}

\\ = 22\times0.5\times3.5 \\ = 38.5\ m^2
