AgCl shows Frenkel defect because of the small size of Ag^+ ion, it can easily fit in the interstitial sites while Na^+ can not as it is bigger in size.

Frenkel defects: It is caused when an ion (cation) leaves its normal site and iccupioccan interstitial position.

It creates a vacancy defect at its original site and an interstitial defect at its new location .

AgCl  show Frenkel Defects and NaCl is Schottky Defects.

Because,

• Ionic compounds with low coordination number .

• Anions are larger than Cations . Etc…

Frenkel defect is shown by those in which there is a large difference in the size of cations and anions. ... Hence, the  Frenkel defect is shown by AgCl due to the small size of Ag+ ion but not by NaCl because alkali metal ions can not fit into interstitial sites.
