# 11) Suppose that the electric field part of an electromagnetic wave in vacuum is $E = \left \{ ( 3.1 N/C )\cos [ ( 1.8 rad /m)y + ( 5.4 \times 10 ^6 rad /s t )] \right \} \hat i$(b) What is the wavelength?

From the equation of the wave given we can infer k = 1.8 rad m-1

$Wavelength(\lambda )=\frac{2\pi }{k}$

$=\frac{2\pi }{1.8}$

$=3.49 m$
