Q1. The blood groups of 30 students of Class VIII are recorded as follows:
A, B, O, O, AB, O, A, O, B, A, O, B, A, O, O,
A, AB, O, A, A, O, O, AB, B, A, O, B, A, B, O.
Represent this data in the form of a frequency distribution table. Which is the most common, and which is the rarest, blood group among these students?

The record of blood groups of 30 students of Class VIII can be assembled as:

S.No. BLOOD GROUP FREQUENCY
1 A 9
2 B 6
3 AB 3
4 O 12

Frequency: It is the no. of times a particular value arises.

Total= 9+6+3+12=30

Hence from the data, we can say that,

The most common is what appears to be maximum no. of times = 12 => O

The rarest is what appears to be minimum no. of times = 3 => AB
