It is given that circumference of circle is 31.4 \ cm

Now, we know that

Circumference of circle is = 2 \pi r

\Rightarrow 31.4 = 2 \pi r

\Rightarrow 31.4 = 2 \times 3.14 \times r

\Rightarrow r = 5 \ cm

Now, Area of circle (A) = \pi r^2

\Rightarrow \pi r^2= 3.14 \times(5)^2= 78.5 \ cm^2

Therefore, radius and  area of the circle  are 5 \ cm \ and \ 78.5 \ cm^2  respectively
