Let cost of a pen = m and cost of a pencil = n

59m + 47n = 513    ---------------(1)
47m + 59n = 441    ---------------(2)

Subtracting (2) from (1),
12m - 12n = 72 ==> m - n = 6 -------(3)

Putting m = n + 6 from (3) in (1),
59(n + 6) + 47n = 513 ==> n = 159/106 = 3/2 = Rs. 1.5

Hence cost of a pencil = Rs.1.5 and cost of a pen = Rs.(1.5 + 6) = Rs.7.5
