A circular park of 20 meters in diameter has a circular path just inside the boundary of the width of 1 metre. The area of the path in sq. m is
Given - $R = 10\ \text{m},\ r = 9\ \text{m}$
Area of path- $A = \pi R^2 - \pi r^2 = \pi(R^2 - r^2)$
Substituting values:
$A = \pi(10^2 - 9^2) = \pi(100 - 81) = \pi \times 19$
$\ \approx 3.1416 \times 19 = 59.69\ \text{sq. meters}$
