A cow is tied with a rope of length 14m a one corner of a rectangular field of dimensions 20m x 15m. find the area of the field in which the cow cannot graze.

Answers (1)

Area of rectangular field = 20x15 square meter 

                                      = 300 square meter
Area of a quadrant which will be grazed by cow = πr2/4 =22×142/(7x4) = 154 square meter
Area left ungrazed = 300 − 154 = 146 m2
