(a) (A) Amniocentesis
Amniocentesis (a foetal sex determination test based on the chromosomal pattern in the amniotic fluid surrounding the developing embryo) is used primarily in prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities and foetal infections as well as for sex determination.
(B) Lactational amenorrhea
Lactational amenorrhea (absence of menstruation) is a temporary contraceptive method. As long as the mother breastfeeds the child fully, chances of contraception are almost nil. This method is effective upto a maximum period of six months following parturition.
(C) ZIFT
In ZIFT (zygote intra fallopian transfer) we can transfer the zygote or embryo (with upto 8 blastomeres) into the fallopian tube during in vitro fertilization.
