a) Syngamy- Fusion of the male gamete with the nucleus of the egg cell is called syngamy, this results In the formation of the diploid zygote.
Triple fusion- Fusion of a male gamete With two polar nuclei , to produce triploid primary endosperm nucleus IS called triple fusion.
b) The zygote divides mitotically at the micropylar end , (only after certain endosperm is formed) to give rise to proembryo and subsequently to mature embryo.
