A gardener has 1000 plants. He wants to plant these in suh a manner that the number of rows and the number of columns remains the same. Find the minimum number of plants he needs more for tbis.

the number of rows and the number of columns remains the same this is the given condition

so the number of plants must be a square number .

1000 is not a perfect square , the nearest perfect square no is 1024 which is a square of 32 
so he will need 1024- 1000= 24 more plants
