A ladder 10 m long rests against a vertical wall. If the bottom of the ladder slides away from the wall at a rate of 1 m/sec how fast is the top of the ladder sliding down the wall when the bottom of the ladder is 6 m from the wall ?

y^2=10^2-6^2=100-36

y=8 m

We solve this problem by short trick 

v_top	imes y=v_bottom	imes x

v_top	imes 8=v_bottom	imes 6

v_top	imes 8=1	imes 6
