Answers (1)

(a) Gonorrhoea and syphilis. Using a covering (protection) during sex helps to prevent transmission of these infections to some extent.

 

(b)

(i) By use of chemical; barriers like oral pills.

(ii) by surgical, vasectomy in male and tubectomy in females.

(iii) by use of contraceptive devices.

 

(c) Advantages of adopting contraceptive measures are -

(i) To prevent STD's (sexually transmitted disease)

(ii) To control human population or birth rate 

(iii) To prevent unwanted pregnancies.
