We find objects as a point in reality when they are far away or at a distant location, having the appearance of a small individual spot.

Stars in the night sky, a light source seen from a great distance, and even a man standing at some distance are examples of such points.

The object is seen as a point, as its size and details cannot be seen by us with our naked eyes at a huge distance, just like a star appears as a point of light in the sky.
