Answers (1)

(a) Amplitude Modulation:- It is a modulation technique
used in electronic communication, mostly for transmitting the
information with a radio carrier wave.
The amplitude of carriers is varied in accordance with the information signal.

(b) Modulation index:-

  • The radio of amplitude of message\left ( A_{m} \right )signal to the amplitude of carrier\left ( A_{c}} \right )signal is termed as modulation index.

hence,

m= \frac{A_m}{A_c}
(ii)

  • The two sinusoidal waves in amplitude wave having frequencies slightly different from the frequency of carrier wave are called sidebands.
    Significance of Sidebands are:-
    It helps different broadcast station to operate Separately or individually.
