Adrianne is planning to bake some chocolate, strawberry and raisin muffins for a party. She was asked to bake 1/2 as many chocolate muffins as raisin muffins and 3 times as many strawberry muffins as chocolate muffins. If she only had enough ingredients to bake 480 muffins, how many raisin muffins did she bake?

Let the number of raisin muffin Adrianne is planning to bake be m 

then no. of chocolate muffin = m/2

       no. of stawberry muffin = 3*(m/2) Adrianne baked 160 raisin muffins

But, ; ; m+fracm2+ 3* fracm2=480

Rightarrow frac2m+m+3m2=480

Rightarrow frac6m2=480

Rightarrow 3m=480

Rightarrow m=160
Therefore, Adrianne baked 160 raisin muffins.
