Solution:    Put  cot^-1(1/2)=	heta   Rightarrow   cot	heta =1/2sin	heta =2/sqrt5

                Again put cos^-1x=phi Rightarrow cosphi =x

               The given equation then reduces to 	anphi =2/sqrt5

              Rightarrow      x=cosphi =sqrt5/3 .
