1. Biodegradable waste is defined as the waste that can be broken into organic compounds like methane and carbon dioxide whereas, non-biodegradable waste cannot be broken into organic compounds.
2. Biodegradable waste can be digested by either composting or by other several aerobic processes whereas, non - biodegradable waste is indigestible in nature.
3. Examples of biodegradable waste are - green waste, food waste, paper waste, human waste, manure, sewage and so on.
4. Examples of non-biodegradable waste are - plastics, polystyrene, paints, tyres and so on.
