Both hybrids and genetically modified fruits falls under the category of genetic msnipulstion. However, the major difference between hybrid and genetically modified fruits is that Hybdrids use traditional pollinating method that can occur in nature. With controlled pollination, cultivars can breed new generations of fruiting plants with new desired characterstic features. On the other hand , genetically modified fruits are genetically engineered at laboratories. This technique allows for the introduction of new traits as well as greater control over traits when compared to previous methods, such as selective breeding and mutation breeding.Some examples of genetically modified fruits are banana , papaya , corn , strawberries , apple and many more.
