\\ Given \ number $=36$ \\ \\ Let \ $x$ \ and \ $\(36-x)$ \ are \ two \ parts\

According to question - 

\begin{array}{l} \frac{x}{5}=\frac{36-x}{7} \\ \Longrightarrow 7 x=5(36-x) \\ \Longrightarrow 7 x=5 \times 36-5 x \\ \Longrightarrow 7 x+5 x=5 \times 36 \\ \Longrightarrow 12 x=5 \times 36 \\ \Longrightarrow x=\frac{5 \times 36}{12} \\ \Longrightarrow x=5 \times 3 \\ \Longrightarrow x=15 \end{array}

So one part is 15 and other part is (36-15) = 21
