Hershey and Chase Experiment:
In this experiment, they grew bacteriophages in radioactive Phosphorus medium to make their DNA radioactive and then they infected E.coli with these radioactive phages separately, and then they noticed the bacteria which were infected with viruses with radioactive Sulphur did not show any radioactivity on
centrifugation.
Bacteria which were infected with viruses with radio active DNA were radioactive and by this, they proved that DNA is the (hereditary material) genetic material.
