Solution: Let a, b, c be the sides of given triangle and 2s be its perimeter such that

a=8 cm ,b=11 cm ;and;2s=32cmRightarrow s=16cm

Now, a+b+c=2s\ \Rightarrow 8+11+c=32Rightarrow c=13

Area =sqrts(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)\ \Rightarrow A=sqrt16 imes 8 imes 5 imes 3=8sqrt30cm^2
