How does respiration in plants differ from that in animals?

Animals respire with the help of lungs that is called internal respiration in which it releases CO_2 and intake O_2, whereas plants, respires with the help of cells that is called cellular respiration in which plants release CO_2 and intake O_2 at night time and releases O_2 and intake CO_2 in the day time (in the presence of sunlight).
