Autosomes are the chromosmes other than sex chromosmes.
They exist in pairs and contain the same form.
22 pairs of chromosomes exist in the human body.
Sex chromosmes :
Sex chromsomes helps into determine the sex of the chromosome.
Sex chromosmes does not always exist as a perfect pair and can be odd at times.
1 pair of chromosome exist as sex chrosome in human beings.
Determination of sex in humsn beings :
Women have a perfect pair of sex chromsomes , both called as X.
Men have a mismatched pair of chromosomes in which one in normal sized X and other is a short one called Y.
Therefore, women have XX chromosome whereas men carry XY chromosome.
All the children will inherit an X-chromosome from their mother regardless of whether they are boys or girls.
Hence, the sex of the children will be determined by what they inherit from their father
