How is the drift velocity in a conductor affected with the rise in temperature ?

When the temperature is increased, in a conductor the average time interval between the successive collision of electrons with positive ions decreases. That is the relaxation time decreases. Therefore the drift velocity decreases since drift velocity is proportional to the relaxation time
