How to find the value of n in the equation n(n^2-1)=990?Please explain the derivation along with the answer.

n(n2-1)=990

n(n+1)(n-1)=990

Here you can see that (n-1)(n)(n+1) are 3 consequtive integers and the prome factorization of 990 yeilds 9x10x11.

Therefore n=10
