Vestigial organs are referred to as useless body parts. They are the remnants of lost functions that our ancestors possessed in order to survive but became non-functional over the course of time. In humans, there are nearly 180 different types of vestigial organs such as the vermiform appendix, auricular muscles in-ear, hair on the body, third eye, nictating membrane and many more and therefore, humans are called as the moving museum of vestigial organs.
