Solution: We  have ,  

         Slope of AB= Slope of BC

\Rightarrow (AB)m=(BC)m

\ Rightarrow (p-3)/(2+1)=(-1-p)/(5-2)\ Rightarrow (p-3)/3=(-1-p)/3\ Rightarrow 2p=2\ \Rightarrow p=1
