(- 3) is the root of  2x^2+px-15=0

\Rightarrow 2(-3)^2+p\times (-3)-15=0

\Rightarrow 18-3p-15=0

\Rightarrow -3p+3=0

\Rightarrow p=1

Now x^2-4px+k=0  has equal roots.

Putting value of p \Rightarrow x^2-4x+k=0

Now for equal roots :

b^2=4ac

\Rightarrow (-4)^2=4\times 1\times k

\Rightarrow 16=4k

\Rightarrow k=4
