If polynomial ax^3+3x^2-3 and 2x^3 +5x-a leaves same remainder when each is divided by x-4,then find value of 'a'

Answers (1)

Dividing f(x) = ax3+3x2-3 by x-4, So put x=4 in the equation and we will get the remainder as 45 + 64 a
Dividing 2x3-5x+a by x-4, So put x=4 in the equation and we will get the remainder as a+108

Accordinng to the question, a + 108 = 45 + 64 a
63 a = 63
a = 1
