If the length and breadth of a rectangle are 13cm and 12cm respectively , then find(i) Perimeter (ii) Area (iii) Length of diagonal(iv) Name the figure if length equals breadth in the above rectangle​

Answers (1)

Length of the rectangle(L) = 13 cm

Breadth (B) = 12 cm

(i) Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( L+ B)

                                      = 2(13+12)

                                     = 2(25)

                                     = 50 cm

2) Area of the rectangle = LxB

                                     = 13×12

                                     = 156 cm2

3) Assume the diagonal of the rectangle is D.

D2 = 132 + 122

D2 = 169 + 144 

      = 313

Diagonal (D) = 17.69 cm

4) If length and breadth is equal then the given figure is Square.
