Sum of first n terms of an AP S_n=3n^2-4n

Let the nth term = a_n

a_n=S_n-S_{n-1}

a_n=3n^2-4n-\left [ 3\left ( n-1 \right )^{2}-4\left ( n-1 \right ) \right ]

a_n=3n^2-4n-\left [ 3\left ( n^2-2n+1^2)-4n+4 \right ]

a_n=3n^2-4n- 3 n^2+6n-3+4n-4

a_n=6n-7

So the nth term of AP is 6n-7.
