Solution:    We have ,    ax+y=3 .........(1)

                     x+2y=3 hspace0.2cm.......(2)   ,   3x+4y=7hspace0.2cm........(3)

            From (2) and  (3)    ,   x=1,y=1

           herefore     a+1=3  Rightarrow   a=2
