Radius of a cylinder is 5 cm and height 12 cm. how many spheres of radius 2 cm can be curved from it?

Solution: We have , 

    Radius =5cm   ,Height =12cm 

⇒  volume of cyelinder =  \ pi r^2h

\ Rightarrow 22/7	imes 25	imes 12  

⇒ volume of resulting sphere =\ (4/3)	imes pi r^3 =\ 4/3	imes 22/7	imes 2^3 =4/3	imes 176/7

⇒ No of spheres = volume of cylinder/volume of sphere=225/8= 28.125

Hence no of sphere is 28.
