Show that (4, 1) is equidistant from the points ( - 10, 6) and (9, - 13).

Answers (1)

Let the points be A(4,1), B(-10,6), C(9,-13)

To show that AB=AC

By distance formula

AB=\sqrt{(-10-4)^2+(6-1)^2}=\sqrt{221}

AC=\sqrt{(9-4)^2+(-13-1)^2}=\sqrt{221}

hence AC=AB
