Show that the following points form a right angled triangle. (2, - 3), ( - 6, - 7) and ( - 8, - 3)

Answers (1)

Let the point be A (2,-3), B= (-6,-7) and C(-8,-3)

AB^2=(-6-2)^2+(-7+3)^2=8^2+4^2=80

AC^2=(-8-2)^2+(-3-(-3))^2=10^2=100

BC^2=(-8+6)^2+(-3+7)^2=4+16=20

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

Therefore it satisfies Pythagoras theorem. So the given points form a right-angled triangle
