Solve 2x + 3y = 7, 2x + 5y = 9

Answers (1)

2x + 3y = 7...(i)

 2x + 5y = 9....(ii)

Equation (ii) - Equation(i)

2x + 5y - 2x - 3y = 9 - 7

2y = 2

y = 1

Put value of y in equation (i)

2x + 3 = 7

2x = 7-3 = 4

x =2

Hence the value of x,y are 2, 1 respectively.
