Solve it 3x+4y=2 and 2x-2y=2

Answers (1)

3x+4y=2........(1)

2x-2y=2.........(2)

multiply (2) with 2

4x-4y=4..........(3)

add (1) and (3) implies

7x=6

x=6/7

put the value of x in equation (2) to obtain y

\\2\times\frac{6}{7}-2y=2\\12-14y=14\\-14y=14-12\\-14y=2\\y=\frac{2}{-14}=-\frac{1}{7}
