Steps of polymerase chain reaction? Briefly Explain.

Answers (1)

Steps of polymerase chain reaction:

  1. Denaturation: As this is the first step of PCR in which, the two strands in the DNA double helix need to be separated.
  2. Annealing: In this step, primers bind to the target DNA sequences and initiate polymerisation by binding ATGC into it.
  3. Extension: In the last step, a new strands of DNA are made by using the original strands as templates.
