The diameter of a hemispherical vessel is 200 cm.how many litres of water can it contain

Answers (1)

\text{Radius (r)= 100 cm = 1m}\\ \text{Volume of the hemisphere}= \frac{2}{3}\pi \times r^3\\

                                                   = \frac{2}{3}\pi \times 1^3\\ =\frac{2 \times 22 }{3\times7 }\\ =\frac{44}{21} \ m^3

1 m3 = 1000 liter

The hemisphere can contain  =\frac{44000}{21}= 2095.23 \ litres water.
