The diameter of the base of a cylinder is 0.4 m and its height is 3/4 of its base radius. Find the volume of the cylinder, giving your answer in litres

Answers (1)

Diameter of the cylinder = 0.4 m  => radius (r) = 0.2 meter

Height of the cylinder (h) = 0.2x3/4 = 0.15 meter

Volume of the cylinder = πr2

                                     = 3.14 x (0.2)2 x 0.15

                                    = 0.01884 cube meter

1 cube meter = 1000 litres

Volume of the cylinder in litres = 0.01884x 1000 = 18.84 litres
