The difference between the length and the breadth of a rectangular field is 15m. If the perimeter of the field is 190m, find its length and breadth

Answers (1)

Let l be the length and b be the breadth

Given l-b=15 implies l=b+15

Perimeter = 2(l+b)=2(b+15+b)=30+4b

Given perimeter= 190m, that is

30+4b=190

4b=190-30=160

b=160/4=40m=breadth

length=40+15=55m
