Answers (1)

(i) Mn with atomic no. 25 shows maximum number of oxidation states(+2 to +7) due to its configuration 3d^{5}4s^{2} , it contains 5 unpaired electrons.

(ii) Vanadium (V) , Atomic no. - 25

(iii) Scandium (Sc), Atomic no. - 21

(iv) Fe3+ is a strong oxidising agent, as it readily accepts as electron to form Fe2+ as it has extra stable half filled configuration (3d5)
