A source of sound has frequency as 200 hz. How many times does it vibrate in 2 minutes. What is its time period?

Answers (1)

Frequency definition: the number of waves that pass a fixed place in a given amount of time. The hertz measurement, abbreviated Hz, is the number of waves that pass by per second.

Since the frequency is 200 hz that means 200 waves pass in 1 sec.

2 minutes = 120 seconds

hence the number of waves = 120 x 200 = 24000 waves

Time period = 1/frequency = 1/200 = .005 sec/wave
